Personal Profile
As an Elder in my community it is my duty to continue to advocate and lead through action for our people. Having spent my career honing my skills as an Aboriginal Community Development Officer, I have worked with a number of groups and individuals in a variety of ways including mentoring budding indigenous businesses, helping navigate housing management, administration and promoting aged and healthcare programs for our people. Through this 30 odd year journey to date I have met with countless members of our community and now carry an extensive knowledge of localised traditional customs, cultural understanding and knowledge pertaining to family bloodlines.

Aiding First Nations people in seeking employment and furthering training.
Assisting with housing and navigating health sectors.
2018 - 2023
Native Grains Pty Ltd
Employed on a seasonal basis by Native Grains Pty Ltd to aid and consult on the propagation of native Australian perennial grasses as a substitute for imported based grains.
2013 - 2018
Cool Climate Garden Centre
Employed to facilitate general day to day running of Cool Climate Garden Centre including sales, plant identification, propagation of seedlings, handy man services and extensive landscaping undertaken.
2009 - 2010
Medicare Australia
Employed as a Liaison Officer at local Glen Innes Branch. Duties expanded across a wide scope of responsibilities including health promotion, community transport, client follow up, administration and networking to expand services into community.
2005 - 2008
Armidale Business Enterprise Centre
Employed as a Aboriginal Enterprise Development Officer. The role included aiding clients in understanding the basics of starting small business. Assisting in the development of a business plan. Arranging accredited small businesses training. Providing information on financial management. Providing ongoing mentoring support once a business was up and running. Funding application programs.

Employed as the Aboriginal Health Promotion Officer. This role entailed facilitating community transport, health awareness programs and general administration based duties.
